THE BIGOT COAT OF ARMS

The Coat of Arms shown here was originally written in French, Shield: D'argent au chevron ployé de Gueules, chargé de trois étoiles D'argent et accompagné de trois oiseaux démembrés du second. Crest: Une tête et col d'antilope. There are other Arms of Bigot that bear the Coat, Shield: De'argent au chevron de Sinople, chargé d'un croissant D'argent et accompagné de trois roses de Gueules. Crest: Une tête de levrier colleté. Supporters: Deux levriers colletés les tête contournées. Translation of the latter, Shield: Argent, a chevron Sable, charged with a crescent Argent, accompanied with three roses Gules. Most of the Bigot family bore the latter Arms, but one in particular bore the first Arms described above, as shown below. Although unfamiliar with the French language, the translation into English should be similar to that shown at the bottom of this Coat of Arms of Brittany.
