Abook written in the 1800s go
the same route I do and stop where I do in the past. It seems that no one
can get past Ivrard d' Arras.
You may say: "How can my route
be the correct one when we know he was there in Flanders witnessing documents
in a.d. 1075 when he just came down in 1066?" That's no mystery: his father
died in the year 1075. Should that not give you a good reason for him to
appear back in Flanders in 1075? Besides his inheritance, he probably had
other things to take care of.
No one disputes that John Baggott
(Baggett) and Martha were the parents of Nicholas Baggett I. They were
also the parents of John Baggett who lived in that period. I once had a
short lineage from him, but lost it. I don't think there is absolute proof
that our Nicholas Baggett was his son, nor that our Nicholas Baggett who
came to America in 1715 is the first Nicholas' son. But there sure isn't
any evidencce otherwise. From there down, most all of the families have
proof that they descend from Nicholas Baggett II.
Nicholas Baggett left a Will
naming all his children and we have information on all of them.
Abraham Baggett was Nicholas
Baggett II's first son and we have lot of information on his family. Abraham
had several sons who left descendants in Tennessee. You will find several
deeds where he left land to his sons. Most of them stayed in Tennessee,
but some the began to migrate to other states. Information on this line
carries it down to the present time, excluding those that are living.
It is almost indisputable that
James Baggett was his son, although he didn't leave James Baggett any land.
James lived alongside his brothers almost all of his life, if not all his
life. You will find that these brothers traded land with each other and
other families in the Wills-Deeds abstracts and deeds.
Maloye Bragg was a descendant
of James. Maloye died several years ago. Also there was another friend,
Eileen Baggett, wife of Edward Burney Baggett, that worked with Maloye.
Maloye died in Tennessee. She sent me a copy of the Family Origin Certificant,
which will be found on this disc.
We have information on five more
sons, but because of the room we will not mention them here. You already
know enough data to make you desire this CD. Go to the site and see for
yourself that it is a great site. You'll want to purchase the CD after
you have visited the site.
I didn't mention that we have
the Englsh history and genealogy, the Irish history and genealogy, and
the Australian history; lots of history on Coats of Arms too.
I wrote the man who researched
the certificant asking him to give me more information on it and he sent
me the document’s bits and pieces whereupon he based his proof of the certificant,
giving the names of the entrances in each document or book in which he
found it. He also died a few years ago. I believe he was about seventy
years of age.
