that was in Georgia when she was little. Marriage was listed in Shelby
County, Texas as Kizzie Baggett to J.H. Tinsley 17 Jan 1915 Shelby Texas
        Marriage Book, Vol. 8, Page 545; which I found on USGenweb.com. J.H.
        must have died before 1920.

I may have the seventh child wrong...although I did as best as I could on
researching. I didn't find the child to be Genie or Virginia. The handwriting on
the census I found showed her first letter of her name to look almost like a "T"
although with the loop below the line I went with a "J". I didn't find her in any
other census with the first name but the middle name for the age of the child to
match a "Baggett" being ten years older that had been born in Texas.

[ Residence was on Bonner Street]

 Noted:
              I had help from V.T. on finding 1900 and 1930 censuses.The
1930 Census I did the Mitchell family as it looked like they were in
same household as there weren't any numbers before 41 but was in
home of 42. They might have been kin to Annie somehow.

 Noted:
I have a picture of this group showing women of "Five Generations of Baggett" on
the back. Names being Annie, Leler, Lottie, Kizziah, and Lottie's daughter. I think
the picture was taken around 1920 - 1935.
With the info above and the child of Lottie's looks around 10 - 13. If  I
could find out her name and then I would know about when the picture was
taken. The ladies don't have on coats or sweaters and there are leaves on
the trees. Picture I think was during early 1930's.

        PROGRESS AS OF 1-20-2003
Notes for EPHRAIM HENRY DAVID "BUD" BAGGETT:
January 14, 2003: Many thanks to Carol Watkins for her
contribution to our family history pages. She has submitted
the following from her files for the pages on her family. We
very much appreciate her generosity in sharing this with us:
        **********
This Document below is a pamphlet form for the "SIXTIETH WEDDING
ANNIVERSARY" held at First Baptist Church in Strong City, Ok. in 1952
for EphraimHenry David Baggett and Kate Raye Pritchett Baggett. I
received this in property that came from a trunk belonging to my Mother
{Fern Estella Baggett Burns} with many family pictures that she saved
... acquiring this after her death on 26 Dec. 1991. I have noticed there
were some mistakes with the dates or some names in this pamphlet
compared to the Social Security, Death Notices, Cemetery Informations,
and other sources that I have been researching of my Family Lineages.

(I have abbreviated some portions of this information.)

        SIXTIETH ANNIVERSARY SERVICE

        Mr. Bill
        ************
        Henry Baggett Kate Baggett
        Born Oct. 6, 1872 Born Feb. 25, 1875
San Augustine, Texas San Augustine, Texas

        United in Marriage
        by
        Rev. D. A. McRae
        Dec. 4, 1892

        THE BAGGETT STORY
It was a regular monthly meeting (the first Sunday) of the Liberty Hill
Baptist Church, Sep. 4, 1892, that Mr. and Mrs. Baggett first met. He
asked her for her company home that evening and she accepted. This
beginning culminated when they were united in marriage December 4 of
that same year. The Reverend D. A. McRae, the Pastor of the Pritchett
family, officiated at the wedding. The couple established a home in the
community and together with his father, the groom began farming. It was
here their first son, LUCIUS, was born.

In the fall of 1893, they bought a farm near Ironosa, Texas. While
living there, three more sons were born, MACK BONDA, JAMES EVERETT, and
NEWMAN V. It was after Mr. Baggett traded for the Baggett home place
that two more children came to live with the family, EALA MAE and JOHN
WALTER. In June, 1901, the family sold their home place to come to
        Oklahoma.

They stopped in Panola County near Geary, Texas, and bought a home for
cleaning. Wile living there two more children were born, TERENCE and
EULA. The idea of coming to Oklahoma did not fade in their hearts and
after some devastating experience with sickness, they sold this place
and chartered a freight car to come to Oklahoma.

They landed in Higgins, Texas, where they came across the line to
Oklahoma, and filed on a sand hill farm in what is now Ellis County.
They built a home on this claim and while living there another son,
CECIL D., was born. The family, geared to ruggedness of honesty, and to
        give up the claim.

In 1909, they moved to the school section, four miles southwest of
Hammon, which was owned by Bernard Savage. The family entered the lire
of the community by attending school at Kiowa, Dist. 68, and attending
services at Old Kiowa Church. While there, three children were born,
        ACIE, FERN, and LORENE.

With the pioneer spirit still burning in their breasts, the family,
decided to move to Arizona in 1913. On their way to Arizona, they
stopped at Elk City, Oklahoma, and the family picture was made for the
        first and last time.

The Oldest son, LUCIUS, enlisted in the Navy; the next son, BONDA,
stayed in Oklahoma to care for the stock; the third son, EVERETT, began
teaching school at Midway, a one room school in the Northern part of
        Roger Mills County.

The family, disappointed in Arizona, came back to Oklahoma and rented
the Cline Place, nine miles northwest of Hammon. While living there,
EALA MAE, the oldest daughter, became the bride of CHARLES H. FULLER. It
was also during this period that VOYNE, the youngest son, was born. When
World War I broke out, five of the Baggett sons doned the uniforms of
their country. The oldest son, LUCIUS, contracted influenza and died in
the Naval Hospital at Mare Island, California. One of the saddest blows
the family had ever experienced, aside from the death of LUCIUS, was
during World War II, the yellow telegram came from the War Department
that the baby son, VOYNE, had been killed in action. Three of the sons
were in service during World War II.

At present there are seven grandsons serving their country in uniform.
Only two sons have been in the service. These two, TERENCE and CECIL,
the preacher, were too young for World War I, and past the eligible age
        for War World II.

Religion played a distinct part in the makeup of the family. The
children do not remember when a prayer of Thanksgiving was not prayed at
every meal. Both the mother and father were converted when they were
young people and became members of the Baptist Church near San
Augustine, Texas. The churches that played the most important part in
the family life are those at Kiowa and Herring. The older children made
profession of faith when they were young.
EULA, TERENCE, JOHN, and CECIL were converted and united with the church
at Herring. BONDA, VOYNE, FERN, and LORENE were saved in the late 20's
        or early 30's.

After moving from the Cline place, the family lived on Indian leases
until 1929. It was then they bought the home two miles East of Srong
City. After living there awhile, they turned it over to one of the older
sons, NEWMAN, and retired in Strong City, their present home.

Augustine, Texas area that married Kate's sister Amanda Pritchett/Prichet.
Amanda and Ephram lived in Shelby/San Augustine, Texas area a few years, then
followed Ephriam and Kate to Oklahoma. Amanda and Ephram lived in Beckham
County while Kate and Ephriam lived in Roger Mills County area.

Also Ephriam used the nickname "Bud" when he was young to differnate from his
cousin Ephram. When he was married neighbors called him "Henry", but Kate gave
him respect of her life by calling him "Mr. Baggett". Kate was called "Raye" when
she was young, but she told me she was named "Robina" after her Mother. Her
neighbors and family called her "Kate" after her marriage. Their headstones have
Kate Raye Baggett and Henry D. Baggett and are in the Baggett Family Plot in
        Kiowa Cemetery.

 Noted:
When we did family tree in 2001 being in a hurry and not having
correct information from the Censuses there are mistakes. I'm
correcting my files as when I find the mistakes.

Beforehand I had Lucius Therial and it is suppose to be Therold.
Bonda is the correct way it is spelled but family call him Bondie.
I've mispelled Terance many times and his correct middle name is
Iuson. Eula is Eula Carol as she is the one I was named after. Not
Eula Carolyn as I was told.  I had Acie William but his name is
Acie Wafale as there is a photo that is in my possession that he
signed his name  "Acie Wafale". When in my 30's Aunt Lorene
was talking and I over  heard her saying something about her
name being called Sallie  Lorene...but from a call this August 2005
to her daughter I found  out her name was only Lorene. I really
don't think Richard Voyne  was ever married as I don't find him
with a wife anywhere even  though the Family Charts that I got
from my Mother in 1978 showed a  Juanita to be his wife.
Voyne's Draft information showed he was divorced but  never
stated his wife's name, no children.

and his age to be born 25 Sep 1891 in  San augustine, TX.
 Noted:
Lucius enlisted in San Diego, CA 08 May 1918 as fireman, first class,
United States Navy and died in the Navy yard, Mare Island , CA. 09 Oct
